Bring on Cupid!!

Cupid is welcome to come to our house now that J has decorated! She is so festive and is already planning what to decorate for March. ;) Here is the finished product of hours of cutting and taping. :)

Home again

o.k. we are really starting to get cabin fever. School was canceled AGAIN!!! The roads are still somewhat bad, so I don't want to really drive anywhere, and it's sooo cold outside, none of us want to go out. . . .

I ended up pulling out a 'future' present from my closet out of desperation. The kids have been having fun making their car go around and around. L just thinks it's cool to do and of course J wants to know why it doesn't fall when it goes upside down. :)

J has been making a bazillion hearts yesterday and today so she can decorate her room for Valentine's day. :) FUN!

ANOTHER SNOW DAY!!!

o.k. my kids haven't been to school ALL week. My creative juices and energy are running out, so unfortunately, this is what has been going on most of the day. :)

We occasionally get outside, but usually don't last too long. Don't you love J's hat. $.49 at the Gap outlet. She can barely see out.. . HA!

Since Z is getting teeth AND has a cold, this is usually what I see of him. He's clinging onto my pant leg wanting to be picked up.

This picture doesn't have anything to do with anything, but I love looking at L's eyes in this picture for some reason.

I'm not sick anymore (yeah), but I seriously have NO energy to do anything fun. oh well. I'll just be grateful I'm not sick anymore!! :)

checking out the snow

Look how cute I am looking at the snow falling outside!

Z-man is walking like crazy around our furniture. He has learned to wave hi and loves to click his tongue!! He will dance to music that he likes and now has 3 teeth. He has a cold right now and trying to get one more tooth in. He has started to scream when he wants something (fun, huh!), and loves to climb the stairs. (although we block them off since he can't come back down!) :) His favorite game is to pull all the DVD's off the rack and pulling everything out of my pantry!! :) Today, he somehow got the tupperwear lid off of the brown sugar and was eating a fist full of brown sugar when I found him......:) He is busiest as he follows J and L around pretending he is a big boy!!! He is growing up so fast. :)

SNOW DAY!!!!

Happy SNOW DAY!!!! it actually snowed enough that most people stayed home from work as well. D helped push someone out of our cul-de-sac this morning who HAD to be at work. But most kids and dad's stayed home today. :) After about 4 layers of clothing, 2 potty breaks, and and lots of searching for the winter boots, we finally made it outside.

This is our neighbor pulling the kids with his 4-wheeler. . . SUPER FUN and lots of laughs.

L and mom sledding together.

mom and L sledding!

J's friend from school came to enjoy the fun also. She is sooo cute and happy all the time.

3 cute girls ready to be pulled.

L trying to decide if he is brave enough for the 4-wheeler

patience is a virtue. . . .

. . . .which I DO NOT have right now. Man, pregnancy does bazaar things to me. I have been sooo impatient with everything lately. My poor kids probably think I'm going nuts. I think everyone should be doing things differently and why does everything bother me so much. . . Also, the mama bear has been coming out in me lately. Have you ever had someone say/do something that wasn't nice to your kids/spouse and find yourself all fired up??? Well, some things have been going on that have been a bit unkind to a loved one and I find myself totally in mama bear mode. Couple that with my inpatient pregnancy mood and it's not too pleasant. I hope I don't come across the accused or I might make a spectacle out of myself and burn a few bridges that I know I would regret. . . .

So I guess I will be a typical bear and hibernate in my house during the winter and hope that spring brings a brighter perspective on life. :)

I'll just go to my happy place and dance through a field of flowers. . . . o.k. that's a little fruity for my current mood, so I'll just go take a nap! HA HA

One BABY!

I had an ultra sound today to make sure there weren't twins or something else growing that shouldn't be. All is fine and here are some pictures of our cute quatro!!

This picture is super cute with his/her arms crossed and laid on top of his/her knees. She/he is posing for the picture. :)

The rest of these are just cute!!! :)

All seems well. It was so fun to have an ultra sound. I wish I could have one once a month!! :) It was great to see the baby moving and doing well. :) Pretty darn fun. They put my due date as July 18, but I'm keeping it at July 27 because I just have big babies. I really don't think I'm further along.. . just a big baby. :) :) Oh and it's measuring about 3 inches from crown to rump!! :)

the big 3-0

D turned 30!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday, babe!!! I'm married to the BEST person EVER!!!! He is amazing at putting others before himself. He is an amazing dad and husband. He is so unselfish and knows how to have fun. I love that D and I have similar personalities and love laughing at the same things together. He takes such good care of me and is so eager and happy to give me breaks and do special things for me. D is truely amazing and I feel so blessed to have him!!! I love you, D!!!

I love that all you see in this picture is L wacking D with his present. L wasn't tall enough to reach, but sure did wack away anyway!!!

More heavy, heavy, hang over!!!

D's apple pie. He's not much of a cake person!!! :)

12. . . or is it 16???

So I just got back from my Dr. appt. We were able to hear the heart beat and all seems well. . . . EXCEPT that I'm 12 weeks measuring 16 weeks. I think I've heard the same words at EVERY OB appointment I've ever gone to: Oh, you are bigger than I expected. You are measuring big. 'sigh' double 'sigh' o.k. just call me fat! LOL, just kidding. I have big babies, I get huge, and it's pretty much been that way (only more so with subsequent pregnancies) since day one. :) Lucky me! On the bright side, they always want me to go in for an ultrasound to make sure I'm not having twins, or have anything growing that shouldn't be growing. :) I'm not concerned, because it's been this way with my other babies too, but it will be fun to get an ultrasound earlier than 20 weeks!!! :)
Well, thought I'd give an update on the hugeness of me ol' belly!!! :)
oh, and I didn't gain any weight in my first trimester. . . yeah!!! :)

12 weeks

I'm 12 weeks pregnant today!! Wahhoo. I didn't think I'd make it to this week. I'm hoping that the sickness will continue to decrease over this next week and hopefully by next week, I'll be as good as ever (or as good as it gets being pregnant!) I've felt the baby a couple of times in the last day or two. I know people may differ with me and say it's too early, but I guess I know what I'm feeling for. I didn't feel J until around 18 weeks or later, L was around 15 or 16 weeks, Z-man I felt around 13 or 14 weeks, and this one is around 12. I guess with each pregnancy, you grow faster and are more sensative . . . maybe?? I dunno, but I know what I felt. That is my favorite part of being pregnant. I love feeling the baby move inside me. Only about 2 more months and we will have our ultrasound. I have a dr. appt. today, so hopefully they will hear the heart beat and all will be well. (this is my first appt. since week 5, so it will be my first time hearing the heart beat!)
I'm happy to almost be in my 2nd trimester. It has been really hard for me to be sick and still take care of Z-man. J and L sort of just do their thing and love playing with each other, but it's been hard to care for a baby while being sick. I'm hoping he will learn to walk soon and I won't have to carry him (he's HEAVY!) I'm such a people person and love being around others. It seems like during the first trimester of my pregnancy, I just want to crawl in a hole and have everyone leave me alone. It isn't my personality at all, but I'm starting to feel better physically and emotionally and feel like I'm starting to emerge from my hole!! :)
I have a new calling in church. I teach the sunbeams. They are 3 years old. L is one of the oldest in the group and the youngest just turned 3 a couple of weeks ago. They are such a cute little group. Last sunday we talked about how Heavenly Father has a body too. We did lots of fun activities dealing with body parts! :) It is fun to be with them and has given me a better perspective on 3 year olds. :) I need to take a picture of them. they are sweethearts! :)
Well, I'll let you know about the dr. appt. later today! :)

There's nothing as sweet as a sleeping baby!

I'm not sure why, but there is nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby. recently, we've let Z-man sleep with a flat pillow and he LOVES it. My other kids never really used a pillow until they were older, but he is always laying on it (or sitting on it when he is awake). He always sleeps on his tummy with his hands tucked under him somehow. Isn't he cute!!!

PAINTING!!!!!!

I have some AWESOME professional painters at my house today!!!! I'm so excited that the room in the basement is being PAINTED today. When D started out working on the basement I wasn't totally excited about everything he did because I guess I didn't see the final outcome. I'm soooo totally stoked now. It's awesome. I'm glad we will have a room to hybernate in during the hot summer months when I'm big and pregnant!!!! J is soo excited it gets to be her room (along with a toy room since the room is soooo big!) It taking everything in me to stay away from the paint fumes and let the professionals do their work. :) but I'm super excited. :) :) :)

CHEESE!!!!

It takes a lot of concentration to get those lines just right!!

J told us today she wants to be a wall painter when she grows up because she's having sooo much fun!!! Don't her eyes say it all???

The REAL worker :)

fun times over the break

We had a great Christmas break. It was nice to enjoy some relaxation and time off. Here are a few pictures!!

Z likes to chew on the darts from L's Dart gun. yummm.

D has been working on our basement in the few spare minutes he has had. These are pictures of him sanding the mud. :)

VOGUE!!!

Nice, huh??? The room in the basement is looking AWESOME though. We just have painting left and to get some nice carpet remnants down until we finish the rest of the basement. :) J is super excited to make it her bedroom. D is amazing. :)

J and L have been playing darts guns a lot. They like to see if they can get them to stick on the cupboards. :)

Well, we are back in the groove of things and school/work is back up and going. We aren't quite use to it yet, but adjusting back. J started gymnastics yesterday (which she loves) and L has swimming lessons on Fridays. So we are back into the busy life!! :)
I am a little over 11 weeks pregnant now and starting to feel a bit better. I'm definitely better than a month ago, but still sick. I'm hoping it will keep getting better and in the next couple of weeks be gone. :) I'm inbetween maternity clothes and my normal clothes. My jeans are tight (even with the elastic trick), but the maternity jeans fall off me. I love the 'FAT' stage!!!!! With each pregnancy I'm in maternity clothes sooner. What's up with that? I don't remember wearing m. clothes with J until I was around 5 or 6 months along. Oh well, so goes life. I'm looking forward to 2nd trimester when I'll have a bit more energy and no more sickies. Until then, we just sort of go one step at a time. :) :)
Well, that's about it.

winter fun

The kids had fun playing on the frozen creek!!! :) D is so good to help them explore life!! :)

catch up: L's Christmas concert

here are a couple of the songs from L's Christmas concert. He goes to a little Baptist preschool and He LOVES it. :)
