Things I love

Wow, has it really been this long since I posted. Life has been soo great and busy with the holidays, that blogging hit the back burner for a while. I'm going to try to catch up in this 'things I love' blog. :)

1. I love Holidays in general!!--I love the holiday season. I love the smells, the sounds, the family, the baking, the chocolate, the shopping, the parties, and mostly thinking of our Saviour and the special feelings that come along with that. :)

2. I love All the great homemade things the kids bring home from school.

3. I love that we went home (to my hometown) for Thanksgiving. I was able to see most of my family that I haven't seen in YEARS!!! I loved watching my kids play with and get to know their cousins and grandma and papa. :) SO GREAT!

4. I love Zantac. . babystyle. .. . come to find out that for the past 5 months, Meg hasn't wanted to eat because she has silent reflux. Yes, she had digestion issues also, but the not wanting to eat part of it was because of reflux. Now I can't keep the girl fed. She wants to eat 8 oz. every 2 hours. :) It's a VERY nice change than trying to get her to drink even 2 oz. :) She's got some catch up to do I guess. :)

5. I love to look at Meg's little feet while she eats. Now that she isn't fighting eating, she is relaxed and will cross her little ankles and chill while she drinks her bottle. WAY to cute to watch.

6. I love leftover Christmas dinner.. . .YUMMMM no more explanation needed!!! :)

7. I love knitting. . o.k. so I"m a bit burnt out of it now, but I knitted everyone stockings as well as awesome Qubec slippers. :)

8. I love watching my kids play together.....

9. I love when Zander squints his eyes and talks in a jibber jabber, high babyish voice 2 inches from my face. I'm not sure where this came from, but it's halarious. :)

10. I love very large loud fans.. . Megann has been 'learning' to sleep through the night. Is that a nice way to put it? We are on day 3 of crying through the night. Last night she only cried about 20 minutes before going back to sleep, so we are progressing. :)

11. I love snow. Especially in Ky because it usually melts within a couple of days. The kids had a blast building snow men. . then converting the snow men into a massive tunnel/fort. $.99 gloves and hats, snow suites, and hot chocolate to warm up. :)

12. I love working on the basement. O.k., so really I don't LOVE working on the basement, but I love seeing it get done. We are getting close to having the mud and tape done so we can move on to painting. . YIPPEE, then the flooring and trim and we are good to go. :)

13. I love When Darin takes days off work!!!. .. I wish work, money, etc didn't exist and we could be together ALL THE TIME!!! retirement is going to ROCK!!!

14. I love our library that has wii games!!! NICE!

15. I love photography. Although I'm not as good as I would like to be, I love taking pictures and looking at pictures. I have a friend that is amazing. You should check out her blog because she just had a little baby girl and she is sooooooooo cute. http://tanerandjenny.blogspot.com

16. I love that Jordyn lost a front tooth. Not only is it the CUTEST thing ever, but it made her soooo excited and that is one of the best things to see as a mom. :)

Well, I'm sure there are a lot more, but for now, that pretty much covers it. . . I hope you enjoy the slew of pictures from the last month!! :)..... which of course are all backwards in time-frame

Dentists. . can we say OUCH!

o.k. so for the last 2 weeks my mouth has been in excruciating pain. I had a filling fall out while prego. So I went to have it fixed. My Dentist put on a temp while the crown was being made, etc. Well, FF a few days and pain is horrid!!!! go back to dentist, get antibiotics and pain killers. . . horrid. Pain killers don't touch the pain. FF another week because I couldn't get in for a root canal for a WEEK... that is about 10 days worth of horrible pain. Soo, I had my root canal done on Wed. and here are a few things that I learned/remembered about my trips to the dentist.

1. I still cry at the dentists. I had horrible childhood experiences and they have stuck with me. Yes, I cried and I'm sure they thought I was a crazy woman.

2. The smell of a dentist office is still horrid. BLAH

3. music is still played, but not quite so elevatorish.

4. speaking of music. .. even happy gas can't make the nurse's singing to the music not annoying. just don't do it lady.

5. happy gas is still the best invention ever. I don't care how many brain cells I kill. I can't think straight most of the time anyway.

6. When a rubber sheet is put over your mouth, they aren't trying to kill you. . . . it simply catches all the tooth junk and prevents it from going into your mouth. phew!

7. Shots still hurt. . badly.

Well, that was my time at that dentist office. I still have to have the crown put on, but all the nasty part is done... for now! :)

pumpkin guts. . .ewwwww

We love holidays at our house. This year J and Lo were able to help a lot with their own pumpkin. Z-man just ran around in the pumpkin guts and road his big wheel, Meg slept and watched from afar. :) It really is fun to do things as a family. :) It will be fun when all 4 can do everything. :)
