What have we been doing?

Well, for starters, we had a great family night tonight and enjoyed making donuts for our activity. :) I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time. I remember making donuts with my sister when I was very small and so I'm not sure if the donuts are really all that good, or if it's the memories that are associated with it, but either way it goes, we had a great time. :)

YUM!!!!

ME TOO!

I've also been working on a few sewing projects. now, I'm absolutely NO seemstress, but I enjoy trying. I made this quilt for Baby M, and also her blessing dress. I'm not quite done with the dress, I need to finish up the buttons/zipper whatever I decide to put in, but I was quite proud of myself!! It took me quite a while, because as formentioned, I'm not a very good seemstress, but it was fun. :)

The pink sash was D's idea. He's glad he could have a 'part' in it.

doesn't it look angelic in the window?

other than that, the normal FUN!!!! and PLAY!! Here are a few pictures of J and L pushing Z-man in a box today. why do I buy toys???? LOL

And of course, we've been enjoying some walks with a bit nicer weather. :)

Who Knew????

O.k. who knew that leprechauns were suppose to be mischievous and make a mess of things??? Apparently NOT me and my sweet 5 year old kept walking around the house yesterday trying to find clues of a leprechaun. I guess I've learned my lesson. I swear growing up St. Patty's day was only about wearing green and not getting pinched. Where have I been for the last 28 St. Patty's days?????? I'm going to have to put a bit more effort into this holiday I see. :)

WHO KNEW that 3/4 of my little family would be sick, sleep deprived, and GRUMPY today? I was one of those, which probably didn't help the other two that were sick at home today, but seriously one big day of crying, whining, coughing, and some serious melt-downs (from all of us).

WHO KNEW that my lower back would go out today (It has done that before in pregnancies, but usually not this early) and I would have to call J to come help me lift Z-man out of his bed? I then called him to the stairs and helped him go down the stairs backwards because I couldn't carry him, and crawling worked better for me too. . . NICE HUH!

WHO KNEW it would be such a beautiful day? Going for a bike ride on some trails was somewhat of our one happy out today. I think everyone enjoyed it. Even Z-man was swinging his legs and soaking in the view while strolling along.

WHO KNEW that today would be what it was??? Maybe I should have listened to my first instinct to stay in bed this morning. Too bad I have 3 others that won't allow me to follow those wise instincts!!!!

Thoughts

Well, we've hit another week and it's fun to think about spring coming soon. There are quite a few things that I'm getting excited about.

I'm very excited to power rake our lawn this year, fertalize, and re-seed. I love watching things grow. Speaking of growing, I'm super excited to plant my zinnias again in the front flower bed. I LOVED watching them grow last year. They are pretty low maintainance, so it's nice to just watch them grow and spread.

I'm excited that in a few weeks, D's family is going to come help us get some work done on our basement. Our goal is to have it totally finished by the time baby M gets here. We'll see how we do. It is going to be AWESOME to have our basement finished. :) I can't wait to get everything organized and in it's right spot. (I think that is a pregnant thing also. . . :)

Speaking of baby M, I'm excited to have her. I can't wait to see what she looks like, acts like, etc. Also, excited to be done being pregnant. Baby M acts similar to how L acted. She's pretty calm and not too crazy in there. I wonder if she will come out a ball of energy like L was, though!!! :) FUN! I'm excited to start on M's baby blanket. :) I think I may try to make her a blessing dress also. We'll see! Maybe I'll get my good friend to help. :) I still have a long ways to go, but it's still fun to think about. My Dr.'s have my due date as the 18th of July; however, I really just have big babies and I don't think my due date is until the 24th. So I guess we'll just see when she comes. :)

I love having things to look forward to. it really helps the time being pregnant move along!! :) I've already reached the "I'm done being pregnant" point and I'm only half way. Oh well. I'll make it and I'll keep going. :) :)

MUSIC

L has been working so hard to pass off all his articles of faith in Primary (his church class). He just passed off the 6th on Sunday. He has 7 more to go. He is AWESOME!!!! This is L singing the 6th article of faith. :)

This is a song that J learned on the Piano. She is just learning to read music. The picture has nothing to do with it, but I thought it was cute from when she was little. :)

laugh and play

Tonight L was saying his prayers said, "Please help me when I'm a daddy to laugh and play." He is such a funny little guy--ALL about games and play! :)
Wasn't he a stinkin' cute baby! :)

Half Way!!!

I'm HALF WAY THROUGH THIS PREGNANCY!!!!!!!!!!!!! that pretty much says it!

Love Bug

I found this cute onsie at the gap outlet for $1.99 the other day. I had to buy it simply because my mom use to call me love bug when I was little. I had totally forgotten, but when I saw this shirt it all came back to me.

I have the BEST mom EVER!!!! She is amazing and I truly hope I can be as good of a mom as she is. I always felt loved just the way I was. Since I was the youngest, I was able to have lots of one-on-one time with my mom. We had fun shopping, going to operettas and talking, talking, talking. :) I LOVE YOU, MOM!!!

Student of the Month

J was honored tonight at the PTA meeting for being student of the month in January. In her note it said she was being awarded for exhibiting responsibility in the classroom. :) She is such a sweetheart and dedicated to whatever she puts her mind to.

We are so proud of you, J.
