Big Brother!!
I love watching Lo take care of Meg. He is such a good big brother. I think it's cute how Meg is holding on tight to her big brother!! They really were having fun despite the look on Meg's face! :)
How cute is this??
So you can't tell by this picture, but these geese were BOOKIN' it!! I've never seen a goose run, but they can seriously cover some ground. Those poor little ones were haulin'!! and it was quite fun to watch today! :)
It was a fun spot in the day today for me and the kids! :)

bye bye mullet!!
I cut Meg's hair today. Not much, just the back that was getting 'mulletish'. Now she has a cute little bob . .. . I forgot to take a before picture, but here are the after shots!!!! BIG GIRL!!! :)
We've had lot of. . .
......time INSIDE!!!
Between winter and the immense amounts of rainy days lately, we've had to figure out some energy expending activities!!! I gave up the 'no jumping on the couches' rule a long time ago. Happily, our couches have held up to all the jumping quite well. :) The kids needed something to get energy out..... :) I think they are quite good! :) LOL So for documenting purposes, this has become a regular scene that I find privileged to watch each day. :)

With rain comes.......
A RAINBOW!!!!
This picture does NOT show what I saw. I saw the most beautiful FULL double rainbow. I ran upstairs to get my camera and when I came back down, it was a quarter of a rainbow, but still so pretty!
We have had many many rainy days this spring. We are all a little soggy, but grateful for the moisture, so long as our house doesn't flood. We're wondering if we should start building an ark.... Just kidding.

It's family night.... It's family night...... fa la la . . . It's Family Night!
Every Monday we have a lesson and activity together as a family. Sometimes these are lessons from the scriptures, sometimes they are on a particular subject one of the kids need help with, sometimes we just have fun!
Tonight we talked about building our house on the ROCK.. or building our lives based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. For our activity, we built card houses. The kids Loved trying to see how many layers they could get on the house before it would fall down. At the end we had fun blowing really hard to knock them all over. :)

It's SUNDAY!!!!!
A long time ago, there was a sister who loved to cook and every Sunday she would make cookies, cakes, donuts, or some FABULOUS treat. As the youngest of them all, I especially liked this tradition of baking. . . and eating. . . and being with my siblings. Then, this sister went to college, got married, and was off into the world! Another sister took over, but the same thing happened--college, mission, marriage, etc. Next, my brother and I would often carry on this tradition. Fast forward many many years. . . . . . NOW My kids LOVE carrying on this tradition. They make sure I remember that on Sundays we make treats together (and lick the bowl together!)

Easter Weekend
We had such a great Easter weekend. Saturday was full day of Palmer family fun... Canoe ride and all!! :) (We canoed accross the creek to get to D's brother's house since the creek was too high to drive through!!! )
We loved hanging out with family. Lo played nintendo THE.WHOLE.DAY seriously! He was in heaven. He broke for about 5 minutes to eat and 5 minutes for a 4-wheeler ride.
J spent most of her time making friendship bracelets and playing games with her aunts and uncles. Z and Meg roamed from place to place enjoying their cousins.
D and I of course enjoyed the day with the people we love! :)
SUNDAY: The kids woke up and began searching for their easter baskets. This year, the Easter bunny left a big basket with the candy eggs and each kid had to find their basket of personalized goodies. :) The .... hunt.... was.... on!!!
Church was full of Easter lessons and talk of Christ. I LOVED the few quiet moments I had during the day to think about my Savior and the gifts that He has given me and all of us.
I love Easter. I love the way I feel thinking of Christ and the Resurrection. I look forward to next year! :)
Z was SOO excited to go with cousin R and Uncle D for a ride!!
Hunting for eggs!!
J and Cousin A being buddies!
J's was hid in the piano bench, Lo's was in the chandelier, z's was in the computer hutch, and Meg's was on the speaker! Everyone had fun searching for their basket. :)

Spring Breakin' at the ZOO!!
The kids and I ventured off today to the zoo. It is a beautiful day today and really our one shot this week to go to the zoo. The rest of the week has been a bit rainy, so we were happy to get out today. Everyone did VERY well today. J, Lo, and Z-man all listened really well and stayed close by. I tied some ribbon from my belt loop to Meg's belt loop, so she could walk, but not run away. Aren't I a mean mom..... LOL.
Some of our favorite's from today:
**The tulips were GORGEOUS today--so bright and beautiful. We could smell the tulips everywhere we walked and it was so sweet.
**The Polar Bear doing the backstroke (we have been taking swim lessons right now, so the kids thought it was funny to see the polar bear do the same thing they do in the water.)
**The baby Giraffe--SOOO cute.
**Feeding the goats. I didn't have any quarters, so my kids just picked up some of the food from the ground that others had dropped and let the goats lick it off their hands. SO FUN!
**The TRAIN--of course!
**ICE CREAM--normally we don't let our kids get ice cream, face painting, etc. while at the zoo, but we thought we would splurge since our zoo pass is expiring at the end of this month. :)
WHAT A GREAT DAY! I love that I can finally start getting out more with all my kids. :) I loved it.

BIG BONE LICK STATE PARK
Tonight was date night and D's turn to plan. We headed out to Big Bone Lick State park and did some hiking (umm, walking on dirt) around the small lake. It was fun to get out. We've heard it much prettier in the fall and a bit later in the spring when everything is in bloom, but it was still refreshing to be outside together. It was nice to have some time alone to chat about life and 'stuff'. :) LOVE YOU, D!!!!!

Happy Birthday Z-MAN!!!!!!
Today is Z's birthday. He is THREE!!! He is such a funny little guy. He makes the BEST faces when he copies something he sees on tv or in life. He loves super why and word wold and runs around the house saying 'Super-Why to the rescue'.
He wanted a dinosaur cake this year, so I did my best. :) He woke up to balloons .. . he had to find the 2 special balloons. One with 'pennies' in it. and one with a note from mom. :) This is a birthday tradition at our house and one that the kids have grown to love and look forward to!.
Z was born just before General conference 3 years ago. I remember sitting in the sunshine that streamed through the window while watching Z man sleep on the floor and listening to the Prophet of the Lord. It was such a FUN and happy memory. He is my conference baby! :) I tried to tell him that story today and he just kept telling me he wasn't a baby, but he was bigger-stronger. :) Maybe someday it will mean something to him.

Lighting the candles.
So EXCITED as we sang to him. :)
