Assemble the Minions!!!!

Halloween 2013.... was WET!  It rained, but luckily wasn't too cold.  I kept asking the kids if they wanted to go home.  J decided to go home and pass out candy, but the others stuck it out for over an hour and a half.  We were ALL soaked, but fully loaded with candy by the time we got home.

Before trick-or-treating, we headed to Chipotle for $3 dinners.  If we came dressed up we got our food for $3.  YUMMY.  When it was our turn to order, all the kids started saying bee-do, bee-do, bee-do (the firetruck at the beginning of Despicable Me 2) The workers at Chipotle got a kick out of that and I didn't even set them up to do that!  LOL  They were pretty funny.

It really was a fun day.  Aren't they cute minions?

Surgery

I've been on a blogging pause.... I had my gallbladder out!  It wasn't fun.  Luckily, I don't have to do that again.  I'm 3 weeks out from surgery and starting to feel better, but it is a slow process for me.  Others have said it was an "easy" surgery.  I'm not sure I want to know what a "hard" surgery is like.  :)

Hopefully I will catch up on all the posts I need to soon! :)

Dance it up!

J and Meg are taking dance this year.  This is J's first year and so she is playing catch up a bit, but she had fun last night and is really enjoying it.  Meg could not get enough of it today.  She LOOOOOVED it!!!  She is a crack up.  She would watch herself in the mirrors and turn and twirl.  Her teacher has a magic wand that taps them on the head when it's their turn to go.  It was pretty fun.  J is doing only ballet right now and Meg has a class that is split--ballet, tumble, and tap.  :)  So fun!!! :)

Kids Tri for your life

I'm so proud of Lo and J today.  They competed in their first triathlon.  Pretty cool, right?  I thought so.  They pushed pretty hard and did AWESOME!  I don't have exact times yet (I'll post them as soon as I do), but I think J was a 18 min. something and Lo was 19 minutes something.  :)  They did awesome!  I have grown to love races/competitions and it was fun to watch them compete.  J and Lo both won 1st in their age/division.  They only had about 25 kids take advantage of this awesome race.  I think it was a good size for a first competition for them.

They swam 100 meters, biked 3 miles, and ran 1/2 mile.  :)  J said it was the BEST Saturday ever!  :)  It really was a great morning.  :)  Pictures are NOT in order, but they swam, biked, and ran.

Finish LINE!!!!

Z and Meg got to run a 50 meter dash!  They had a blast and got metals, waterbottles, and bags!  Everyone cheered when they crossed the big finish line!  They FELT pretty important!  :)  I loved watching their faces!

The day has come!!!

Z has been waiting for this day for about a YEAR!!!  He has been so excited.  He has been marking days off of his calendar for months now and watching as school gets closer and closer.  He was excited to ride the bus and go to school.  He was disappointed he didn't get to pack a lunch, but he still has his calendar to count down to next year!  LOL  I asked him last night if he remembered where his classroom was and who his teacher was.  He said yes and that his teacher was wearing a blue shirt!  LOL  I told him she may have changed shirts since back to school night.  Maybe he should remember her name instead just in case he gets lost!  :)  He made it though.  A good friends was volunteering today and took a picture of him once he got to school doin' his thing!  :)  He's a good boy! :)

Z-man ready for school!!

He wanted pictures with Lo and Meg.

A friend was helping at school and texted me this photo and told me that he made it!!!.  Zander looks like he is following directions on the first day of school!  :)

Z came home today and said school was AWESOME!  Yeah, a successful first day of school! :)  Hope the year keeps going just as well!

BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!

J and Lo went back to school today.  They were excited and ready.  J is in 5th Grade and Lo is in 3rd.  They both go to different schools, on different buses, at different times, but they were excited anyway.  :)

It's fun to watch them grow up.  I forgot how crazy school mornings are trying to get everything done and ready to get out the door.  Hopefully we get better at it!  :)

Z-man will start Kindergarten tomorrow.  They phase in the Kindergarten students so that they can learn their routine, etc. with less kids.  Today kids with A-L last names went tomorrow M-Z last names go and then after that, they go all the time.  Kind of interesting, but watch for Z's picture tomorrow!  He can hardly stand his little britches he's so excited!  :)

Baptism day for Lo

TODAY is a great day!

Today Lo chose to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I always love going to baptisms.  I always feel the spirit during a baptism and feel of the love that our Heavenly Father has for that individual.  When it is your own child, that feeling is magnified.  What a good day.  I'm so proud of Lo and his decision to be baptized.  He read the book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true.  He felt happy and ready to be baptized.  We loved that some of our family was able to come be with us to celebrate Lo!  :)  Today was a good DAY!

I can't wait until I'm 8

Lo had his 8th birthday.  This kid LOVES to party!  He was so excited for his birthday.  We were sad that D was out of the country during his birthday, but rescheduling his birthday didn't work too well, so we just said, "Party on!"

Lo is friendly and excited about life.  He loves group sports and has a competitive heart.  He gives awesome hugs and is quick to ask if something is wrong.  He has been reading the Book of Mormon and has finished the whole book.  He makes life fun! and we love him so much!!  Happy Birthday Lo!!!!

He wanted a volcano cake.  I couldn't find dry ice, but thought that would have been cool in the middle! :)

 PRESENTS!!!!!

$ from grandma and Papa  :)  Look at that face!

I love that we get to be with each other forever!! :)  He makes me happy! :)
