Meg broke her arm tonight. It was quite crazy. We went to urgent care for x rays first and then headed to Children's Hospital. They took good care of her and had lots of fun kid things to do. They had to set the bone, but it wasn't a bad enough angle to sedate her, so they gave her medicine in her nose to make her loopy and the Dr. pressed on her arm while the splint was hardening to straighten the bone!!! OWWW.
The Pain Management girl came in and gave us a tiny pinwheel to help Meg take deep breaths. She had to try and blow the pinwheel. It was GENIUS. It still hurt like crazy, but it was about 30 seconds and then done, so better than going through the whole sedation process.
Those DARN monkey bars!
We will get the real cast on in a few days!
