Oh the things we do!

We are slowly settling in to our new home and neighborhood.  Z and Meg are quite the buddies.  We love doing lots of fun things with each other.  Building marble racers is a favorite.  Also, we play color/letter bingo with MARSHMALLOWS~!!  We practice our colors and letters with some fun games, we water paint, we color, we cut--It's great fun!  :)

We have been invited to a few people's homes and have enjoyed getting to know some friends!

ALSO... We have been PAINTING!!!  We now have the bright green, yellow and blue painted!  :)  We are slowly making some progress! :)

(marble racer builders)

(Meg had the clock fall on her.  She was jumping to turn on the light and knocked the clock off the wall.  SUCH a big bump.  We were a bit worried, but called a friend (nurse) and felt a little better to know what to watch for.  We kept her up and woke her up a few times in the night, but she seems to be doing fine.  She is such a happy little girl.  :)

This is the blue this room use to be.  . .  We are making progress... SLOWLY!

upward climb!

We love our community center here.  The kids have loved swimming, rock climbing, playing in the kids korner, etc.  We are excited to start swimming and gymnastics soon!  :)

Check out my star climbers!

It came. It went!

Wow, these last few months have gone by so fast with so many things that have come and gone!

After a long wait for a short sale home, we loaded up a truck with all our belongings (almost all..  we had to take a few trips.. :)  and drove 40 miles north to our new home.  Here came hopes of finally feeling settled, a closer a commute for D, and great schools for the kids.  We have enjoyed being in our home.  There is quite a bit of work that needs to be done, but we will do a little at a time.  We have painted the family room which started as a neon green.  It is now a neutral brown.  We are almost done painting the BRIGHT yellow kitchen and then will move on to the VERY blue great room.  :)  We have mostly unpacked and the kids (and mom) are enjoying the basement for play time.

A major highlight is the master bath tub because it's jetted!! LOL
Nobody could wait for turns!! LOL

Christmas was great!  Although we were still in many boxes and in a bit of a mess, the kids enjoyed Christmas and were happy to know that Santa found us in our new house!  :)

(Christmas Jammies)
Eating Christmas stocking candy!  Doesn't her hair ROCK!
 PRESENTS!

D spent most of the time putting things together!

One of my FAVORITE parts of Christmas is breakfast.  We have peach syrup with french toast every Christmas.  We usually don't have this any other time, so this is special for this day.  I remember having this periodically as a child and LOVED it every time we had it.  SERIOUSLY, one of my favorite 'presents' of Christmas.  :)  YUM!
 Play time!

J's lava lamp getting warmed up!

Christmas trees the kids and I made.  :D

D gave me an AWESOME present this year.  He gave me a plane ticket HOME.  I had a niece getting married over the Christmas break, so I got to see a lot of family and had SOOO much fun!  I LOVE my family!

Some of my nephews!
 Beautiful Karli!!! :)

I loved catching up with some of my friends.  Some in the city, some in the country.  All were fun!

I was able to go to the Logan Temple with my parents.  I think the last time I was in the Logan temple was for my own wedding about 9.5 years ago!  :)

AND  I love my mountains!  I couldn't believe there wasn't snow on the ground, but at least the mountains were snow capped and lovely!

Although things were VERY VERY busy for a while, I finally feel like things are starting to settle.  :)  The kids are getting use to their new schools and are starting to make friends.  Everyone in our new ward has been so kind and and accepting to us.  :)  We feel like this is where we are suppose to be and hopefully good things will happen as we are here!

Giving a Thanks!

As J put it we were able to have two 'FEASTS' this year.  We first headed up to have a 'FEAST' with my sister and friends up north.  Then we headed South to play and 'FEAST' with the Palmer side of the family.  We did a lot of FEASTING!! :)  But also a lot of playing.

A few days before thanksgiving, J, Z-man, and Meg made these cute turkeys.  My visiting teacher brought all the stuff to make these.  She is AWESOME!!!

I forgot to take pictures with my sister, but the kids had such a great time playing and watching Cars 2.  :)

At D's brother's house, the kids had fun on their farm as always.  :)

I am so grateful for the life I've been given.  I'm thankful for a husband that stands by my side and supports me through the good and the bad.  I'm grateful for my kids.  They are amazing and I feel blessed ....

I'm grateful for the knowlege of Christ's Gospel.  I know his plan for us and It helps me everyday.

I'm grateful for my friends from long ago as well as new that make me want to be a better person.

What a wonderful day to be thankful!

I've had a birthday, Shout Hooray!

Well, I'm another year wiser!!! :) :)   Go me.  :)

We were busy this day.  J had a talent show and we had a few other things going on, but we were able to slip in a quick moment for cake, ice cream, and presents! :)

I love watching how excited my kids get for birthdays.  I remember as a little child wondering how my parents could be so nonchalant about their birthdays when they were SOOO exciting.  I still get excited for aspects of my birthday, but one of my favorite things is to watch my kids be so excited and sing to me ALL DAY!! :)

RAGNAR---Crazy me! :)

A while ago I was talked into something fun and a bit crazy!  Ragnar.  Anyone heard of it?  It's a 12 person (6 person if you are super crazy) relay race from Chattanooga, TN to Nashville, TN....  To save you from looking up how many miles that is on mapquest, I'll just tell you!  196 miles!!!!!!!!

So I started running and running and running......  I made it on about 3 hrs of sleep and a bunch of great friends.

I had twisted my knee about 2 weeks before the race, so I was hoping it had healed.  It hurt a bit, but I was pleasantly surprised.

There were some VERY tough aspects of this race.  I felt stretched to say the least, but I felt proud of myself for pushing on and finishing! (Not that I really had a choice at that point.... HA)  But Here's a picture I received just when I needed it most!!  I seriously have the BEST husband and kids.  They supported me sooo much.  Also, thanks to Grandma Sue for watching the kids Friday.  They love you and had a BLAST!!!

Here is the craziness for your viewing pleasure! :)
