Great Smoky Mountains!!

For Spring break we headed to gatlinburg.  FUN was had by all.  ;)    We zip lined, hiked, and hit some museums/aquariums.  :)

1st broken bone!

Z-man has a broken arm!  And it only took 3 weeks to figure that out.  ZOIKS

He fell off the monkey bars and was in quite a bit of pain.  We took him to get x-rays and they couldn't see anything.  Follow up with an orthopedic in a week if it still hurts.  BAD week of lots of pain.  We went to the orthopedic.  MORE x-rays.  STILL nothing.  Z was given a splint with a possible elbow sprain.  ONE WEEK LATER. . . .  still hurting, but not as much.  MORE x-rays.  NOW we can see signs of a broken bone that is healing.  Still can't see the actual break.  Z's arm was officially declared broken and he got a cast. 

Z has had so much fun having people sign it, but was a bit bummed that he hasn't been able to play soccer.  ;)  After 3 weeks, we went back and it was still hurting when the Dr. pushed on the arm, so he was recasted--this time BLUE! :) 

Hopefully Z will get his cast off in another week. 




And Yes, we feed him even though you can see EVERY rib!

1st day of School

This year I have a 7th grader, 5th grader, 2nd grader, and 1st grader.  I can't believe all my children are in school!  CRAZY!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEG!!!  What an awesome 6 year old you are!  You are so special and fun to be with.  We love you so much.  At 6 years old, you love to play outside with neighbors and siblings.  You love puzzles and coloring.  You love to send letters to Grandma Ida and get letters from Grandma Ida.  You love to go on bike rides, tap dance, and sing.

Z made her a board with hooks.  She has been wanting one for her room for a while.  Z did a good job.
