Spring pictures--good news, bad news

I took the kids' spring pictures yesterday.  Great news, right?  Well, the bad news is that I had my camera on Auto ISO which means a lot of the pictures were taken with an outrageously high ISO which then equals grainy pictures!  BUMMER!!  But I did use my new reflector and tripod and loved them--thank you Darin for being my light assistant! :)  LOL   ---LOVE my kids!

Bubbles!

Today we decided to blow bubbles while listening to our Prophet and Apostles.   :)  I love the feeling of General conference weekend.  I love listening to the Prophet and leaders of God's church.  I love feeling the spirit and I hope my kids feel these same feelings--or at least have good memories when they grow up.  8 hrs. of talks is tricky for little kids, but we make it work the best we can.

Playin' at the Park--picture overload!!!!

Today was one of our first really nice days.  We all just wanted to be outside all day!!!  SO, we packed up and went to the park.  It was PACKED today.... but it was a BEAUTIFUL day!  :)  The ducks didn't want to eat any of our food--they had been fed all day.

This is also General conference weekend, so we loved listening to our prophet and apostles throughout the day with a quick trip to the park in between sessions.

Meg LOVES to swing!!!  A LOT!

D was helping people skate board! :)
LO LOVES to climb trees!  Makes me slightly nervous!

Kiss for the photographer on such a nice day!!!

Z-MAN is FIVE!!!

My Z-man is five years old.  It's crazy to think that it has been 5 years since this little guy came into our family.  Z is a man full of laughs.  He loves to laugh, and make others laugh.  He is a good boy and wants to do what is right.  He is so excited to go to kindergarten, he can hardly stand his little britches.  He is trying to be patient until August.  Z-man LOVES sweets, pancakes, and muffins.  He loves to ride his bike and jump on the trampoline with friends.  Z knows most of his upper and lower case alphabet as well as sounds.  He is starting to put sounds together to read.  He really likes math and can do simple problems with manipulatives.

I'm so glad Z came into our family!  I feel so blessed to be apart of his life--and him a part of mine.

Easter Sunday

I love Easter time.  This year, we were able to have some of D's family come and play with us.  We rode our bikes on a really cool path that is by our home.  This path is actually 81 miles (approx.)  But we obviously didn't do that much.  The group that went the furthest did 12 miles.  :)  It really was fun.

The kids had fun hunting for their Easter baskets .  And the Easter daddy bunny always has fun hiding them.:)

Darin's family helped us move a swing set from the neighbors house to ours.  Their kids had outgrown it and our kids are super excited for it.  It was quite the site looking down the road to see a large swing set being carried by the several Palmers.

I'm so thankful for the resurrection of our Savior and what that means for me and my family!

We changed to 1 p.m. church time this year.  It has been good in some ways and a challenge in others, but overall, we are just happy we get to go to church.  :)

The kids have loved filling their Sunday mornings with interesting things.  Today, they decided to use all the plastic cups they could find and build THIS!!!  :)

Pretty cool, huh?

Sandy, oh Sandy!

Everyone loves Sandy... except probably me.  Sandy is the beloved horse at Meijers that kids can ride for only a penny!  Great right?  NO because the ride is FOREVER long and when you have 4 kids it is FOREVER long to the fourth power!  SERIOUSLY!!!  I know I need to work on my patience and this is definitely practice time for me!!!  Usually I say no, because honestly, I don't carry change that often and it's a good excuse! :) But TODAY the welcome lady gave Z and Meg each a penny for the horse.. Kind right?  o.k. o.k. I give.  We can ride Sandy today!  :)

Soo, here's to happy faces and practicing patience!  :)

Forts on a Sunday morning.

We now have church at 1 p.m. instead of 9 a.m.  This is great in some ways and harder in some ways, but mostly, we just roll with it.  :)  This morning, D helped the kids build a fort.  Well, first they kept rebuilding their fort and after much frustration ( :) )  D helped them.  He brought in the table, wood from the basement, and turned all the couches around.   After they were all done, D layed on top of the table and pretty soon, 3 of the 4 joined on top of him!!!  We all love Daddy!!!! and Sunday mornings....

You can't even see the fort behind them, but they had fun!  :)
