Easter Weekend

We had such a great Easter Weekend. :) Of course all these pictures are backwards, but you get the idea anyway. D's family came in and helped us drywall our basement. It looks sooo awesome. It makes my heart feel so happy and loved that everyone would travel and sacrifice a weekend for us. They are amazing and I'm happy to be apart of their family. . even if it's through marriage. :)

While the drywalling was going on, we were able to take time out for an easter hunt, some Egg coloring, and fun festivities.

Thanks again everyone that came. We don't know how to thank you, but we really really appreciate it and are soooo excited and happy!! :)

this is Easter morning finding the hidden easter baskets. :)

Easter egg hunt with the little cousins. :)

Isn't this a cool looking egg. L did this. :)

S and boys R and A colored eggs with us. :) so fun!

I love these two!!!!! :)

A is amazed and trying to figure it all out!

L loved doing it all by himself.

J loves anything that is project oriented. She had a blast too.

And here are the real workers. I'm sure they loved me taking pictures. . :) But it was awesome.

another project.

Ok, so with this being baby #4, we definitely have enough receiving blankets and baby blankets of all kinds. HOWEVER, when I'm pregnant I find myself doing more sewing projects than anything else. As mentioned earlier, J and I did kniffty knitters over conference and this is what I finished up yesterday. I used super soft yarn, and I think it will be comfy for baby M. :) Plus it made me feel like I was being productive when I was just sitting around. :) LOL!

General Conference and new toys. :)

This was general conference weekend. This is a time that we get to listen to the prophet of our church and the apostles speak to us. I have ALWAYS loved conference weekend. It can be a bit daunting to a young child as it is 8 hours of talks over the 2 day period. I remember my mom made it so much fun. She let us pick out a craft we wanted to do (extra items like that growing up didn't come often, so a new craft was AWESOME) and she ALWAYS had conference bingo with some GREAT treat like M&M's to play with. Now that I've grown up, I still love conference, but for different reasons. My testimony of Jesus Christ is always strengthened as the Holy Ghost witnesses to me that He lives and loves each of us. That the blessings he has promised are real and apply to each of us. I love this time to feel how much my Saviour really loves me and each of us. I have continued the conference bingo and craft tradition and hopefully when my kids grow up, they will have fond memories of conference weekend also. This year, we of course did bingo (as seen in pictures below). We also did kniffty knitting (J and I), We made animal puppets from stickers (that kept everyone busy for quite some time. No pictures, but I'll have to take one tomorrow.), and several other projects. It really was a great weekend.

YEAH!!! conference bingo

I've almost got it.

Can I just eat the marshmallows pleeaaase???

inbetween sessions, we ventured outside for a walk (yes, we are all still in our pj's) and our neighbors were cleaning out their garage. They wanted to know if we wanted their play 4-wheeler. WELL YES!!!! So we got a free toy today that the kids LOVE!!!!!

J was off and ready to roll!!!

ummm, backwards???

THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!
We had a great weekend. One of my favorite talks today was on faith and doubt. We can focus on the faith, or we can focus on the doubt, but faith will move us forward!! :) :) I hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

Happy B-day Z-man!!!!!!

*Warning* This post has MANY pictures of birthday festivities!!!

Today, My baby boy is ONE YEAR OLD!!!! I can't believe it's been a whole year since he was born. Z-man is such a happy little guy. He LOVES to be one of the big kids. He has always been so quick to laugh. He usually laughs at anything, whether it's funny or not. Z loves 'real' food and only ate baby food for a few weeks. He is my only one that will still snuggle with me. He is a great sleeper, has 6 teeth and cruises around all the furniture. He LOVES to crawl, and doesn't have a lot of interest in walking on his own (I guess it's too slow for him). Z-man loves music and bounces up and down when someone sings or a good song comes on. He rushes to the piano room anytime someone starts to play and is such a joy in our family. Everyone loves to hug/kiss on him and make him laugh. :) We LOVE YOU Z-MAN. We are so happy you are a part of our family!!!! It would feel empty without you.

hmm, what's that?

mmm, now this is what I want.

yep, this birthday stuff is pretty good!!

Are you going to keep taking pictures while I devour this?

yep, you are!

How can I get this in faster??? it's SOO good!

mmmmm

Mom, you can't have my cupcake.

But I still love you!

And this cupcake was the BEST!!

And here's the smile to prove it!

Dad put me in the garbage can to brush all the crumbs off!!! (don't worry, it was a new liner!)

Hmmm, now what do we get to do?

Why is J bonking this big box on my head and singing, "heavy, heavy, hang over?"

Maybe I should eat it?

or maybe I should climb on it.

Oh, thanks J and L for showing me how this stuff works.

ooooooh, cool!!

WOW

When do the balls come out?

hmm, maybe I'll just eat them?

oh, I get it. Thanks, J.

cool!

We love you, Z-man. Thanks for making us smile and laugh. :)
